SAMBRE is a collective born out of a group of photographers’ desire to share a space in which to work, exchange ideas and develop their own projects. The name is inspired by the River Sambre, which flows near the studio in Montebeni (Fiesole) where our collective is based. We engage in photography through personal projects and commissioned work, collaborating with a variety of organisations. At the same time, we aim to create opportunities for emerging artists and photographers. To this end, we organise exhibitions, talks and events dedicated to photography, with the aim of fostering dialogue and contributing to the promotion of photographic culture.
