MARTINA OLIVA
My photography plays with contrasts. I focus on details, moving close to objects to capture forms born from the meeting of light and shadow. Warm tones often define my images, a way of bringing my Southern roots into the frame and conveying a sense of warmth, intimacy, and belonging. Through color, I translate light, vitality, and tenderness, what “home” means to me.
Born in La Spezia in 1999, I moved to Florence in 2018, where I
developed my artistic identity and earned a degree in Visual
Communication Design at IED.
Today, I tell stories through light, form, and color, often starting from fleeting details of everyday life. Between 2023 and 2024, I expanded my practice through courses in Portrait, Creative Light, and Fashion Story at Fondazione Studio Marangoni. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Languages and Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara.
For me, creativity is not just about technique, it’s about listening,
sharing, and empathy. Every project is an opportunity for exchange and growth.
